Monarch and Deluxe
SSD Modification and HSB Adjustment System
Redesigned valving system with our speed sensitive
shim stack(SSD)
and Converts the Lever to HSB compression
threshold adjustment System
|
The current valving system of the Monarch's produce a threshold style damping system. At slower shaft speeds the shims are preloaded against the piston face and require larger hits or higher shaft speeds to open the shims to allow flow, this creates a platform feel that works great for pedaling but today's frames pedal much better and its more about how well the shock can absorb small bumps and handle the rough and rocky high speed hits. We change the valving system to transition smoother into the low and midspeed valving circuit, by allowing the shims to open gradually and setting up the mid and highspeed valving based on the leverage of the frame.
The SSD/HSB conversion takes a different approach to the shock adjustment. Descend/Pedal SSD/HSB low speed Threshold option Pedal only/Firmer SSD/HSB low speed Threshold option Technical
discussion: The HSB also provides for a smooth transition of low
speed compression Mid and high speed rebound is controlled by a custom
valved shim stack to match the riders weight Includes New Interactive Set-Up Chart Example
Also includes complete rebuild service, oil, nitrogen charge and typical wear parts* included in price. New lower friction, higher temperature shaft seal and
IFP seal. **The shock must be in good working condition with no
scratches or dents on moving parts, if the air can is leaking, it should
also be noted that air side will not be modified in anyway and any air
side issues will not be addressed. |
